Residential Project

Potomac Renovation

Built for drama, styled for gossip.

Description

This Home Got a Facelift, and She’s Not Even Pretending It Was Subtle. True story 🙂

Once a very sweet but slightly confused space with plantation shutters and “don’t worry, we’ll update it one day” energy, this home was ready for a full-blown identity shift. Enter: LK Design

We tackled it all—office, foyer, alcoves, dining, living, family, and kitchen. If it had a surface, we painted it. If it was flat, we wallpapered it. If it was giving “starter home,” we gave it therapy, a stylist, and a new lease on life.

Coffered ceilings? Added, and with black etching too, because blank ceilings are for people who still eat over the sink.

The staircase went from basic to bespoke, complete with the most amazing runner, painted banister, and custom millwork that feels like it belongs in a chic London townhouse (or a coastal home); and yes, that grasscloth wall is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the sophistication department.

Let’s pause for a moment to admire that porcelain fireplace.

Seamless. Sleek. So smooth it could moonlight as skincare. It was a tad stressful going in, but OMG, can we say sophistication???

Then there’s the rug—a beautifully tailored, stripe-on-stripe stunner that adds warmth, contrast, and just the right amount of main character to the entryway. It doesn’t shout, but it definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

We removed the plantation shutters and replaced them with custom window treatments that let the light in, soften the mood, and quietly raise the property value by at least 10%.

And while we’re almost finished, we’ve already got our sights set on one more thing: that tray ceiling in the dining room. Picture it…wrapped in wallpaper…elevated to icon status. Manifesting, and silently counting down the minutes for us to get the green light/go ahead.

This wasn’t just a renovation. It was a rebirth—with wallpaper 🙂

Ps.
Photos snapped with our phone, finishing touches underway!

Pps. Dining room is still short a table!
