Davidsonville Primary Bathroom & Closet, Basement Laundry and bathroom

Some projects begin with a simple request. 

This one began with, “We want it all.” 

Big shower. 

Big vanity. 

Big storage. 

And absolutely no losing closet space. 

Small detail… the existing bathroom was tiny. The “closet” next to it used to be a bedroom. Behind THAT was the actual primary suite. And somewhere along the way, previous owners decided floor plans should feel more like abstract art than architecture. 

So naturally, I stared at this layout like it personally offended me for a few days. 

Every wall was a puzzle piece. Every inch mattered. Every time I thought I solved it, another “wait… but where does THIS go?” appeared. There was nervous laughter. There were moments of me standing in the space silently blinking at walls. There may have been one dramatic measuring tape toss. 

But I have yet to meet a challenge that has defeated me. 

And somehow… through a little creativity, a lot of problem solving, and what can only be described as spatial gymnastics… we jigsawed together the perfect layout. 

Now this once cramped bathroom has: 

A massive shower 

A tall custom vanity with serious storage 

Better flow 

Better function 

And somehow… STILL all the closet storage they refused to give up. 

Honestly, this layout worked out so well it feels slightly suspicious. 

And then came requirement number two: pink. 

To which I obviously responded: “Say less.” 

Did we mention as 2 side efforts we also did an overhaul of the basement bathroom and laundry?
